If you are looking for the ultimate Japanese mountain town experience, this is it!
My family and I had a wonderful time here, able to see majestic Mount Fuji from almost anywhere we traveled around the area. The house is stylish, modern, and provides everything needed to feel at home. Kazu, the owner/host, is amazing and very quick to respond to any questions; he recommended many amazing places to visit as well, and was very accommodating. The area itself has so many interesting shops, farms, parks, ski slopes, and seasonal events, including gorgeous hikes, delicious cafes & bakeries, restaurants, and multiple options for grocery shopping when staying long term. There's almost everything you could possibly need in a countryside visit, however, having a car is a must. This is not a walking city, it's a rural town. Most of your travels will be twenty minutes on average. Some things are as close as twelve minutes, others are an hour away. Luckily, the drives are picturesque, so even the longer routes are a beautiful experience. We would, without question, return here and stay at Kazu's excellent home again; 100% recommended for everyone. 🤩🙌🏼🫶🏼

The area is surrounded by nature, including a river and golf course, and depending on the season, you can even see fireflies nearby. I highly recommend this place for a night out with family or friends after a golf trip.

I went there because I wanted to feel nature, and the owner was kind and cared about me the whole time, so I had no problems staying there. The house was full of excitement, with calm color schemes on the walls and unique furniture and interior design. Also, because it was a quiet place, the chirping of the birds and the sound of the bonfire at night were very soothing. Loved my stay here! The house was a perfect retreat away from the city. The mountain views are amazing and the house itself is beautifully decorated. Evenings out on the deck were a relaxing way to connect with nature, and the main living area is open plan, so it was perfect for social time and group meals. It had everything we needed during our stay and the owner was friendly and helpful :)
I will definitely be coming back again!

I had a wonderful stay at the Yellow House. It is both modern and stylish whilst maintaining a cosy homely feel. The surrounding area is peaceful and the deck out the back is great for relaxing with a fantastic view of the mountains! Kaz-san was a great host, I attribute my comfortable stay to him.
